Ecclesiastes 7:2
Death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart.

I as I get older, I realize death is getting closer. I mean I realize from the moment of your first breath that is true and we never really know when that last breath is going to come. Why is it then we spend so much of our time saying things like, “I will do (fill-in the blank) when I (fill-in the blank).” I am particularly talking to the those of us who are not the “ideal” weight. Why do we wait until we are at the right weight? Yes, that is fun to say…lol!

Seriously, God wants us to live our lives and live it more abundantly (John 10:10). Don’t put off things you can do today. Let’s kick those bucket lists. What is it you have always wanted to do or try? Don’t let your weight or age stop you or give you an excuse. I ran marathons and half marathons at 230lbs. Put me on a bike, yep I have done metric centuries (67 miles). My next adventure is a standing paddle board. Will I make myself giggle and everyone around me. You bet! However, through those giggles will be lots of cheers and encouragement. Don’t let anyone tell you are too fat, old, young or whatever. Death is the destiny of everyone; take heart today and live your life today!

Thank you Lord for giving me a life to live and live more abundantly. I know death is eventual and I will then be with You, but while I am here I want to have some fun too! ~amen
