Fail

Jeremiah 17:7-8

But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Let’s talk about the word ‘fails’. We often think failure means the end. We screwed up and it can’t be fixed. Failure only means that, when we don’t get back up and try again. When we trust in the Lord, we are trying again. We are not being perfect and everything goes right. It does not mean we won’t face adversity. It means we keep fighting during it. Flowers and trees keep growing in the face of drought because they have created deep roots to sustain them. Trusting the Lord, is building our deep root system. So don’t fail to grow by failing to build your roots.
