Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Somedays all you can do is laugh because if you don’t you are going to cry. I woke up to hear my husband having a VERY rough start to his morning. He went to make his protein shake and dropped the container, twice. Powder is all over the counter and floor. He has to leave so, I come out to clean it up.
I pick up the container and it drops and explodes all over me. Yes, on my glasses, in my hair, mouth, lungs, watch and all over my t-shirt. Of course, more is on the floor. I am laughing hysterically at this point. You would think that would be the end of it BUT no! There’s more…
You see as I reach for the sink to get a damp rag to clean myself up, a gentleman chooses that EXACT moment to turn off our water to attach the new water meter. Now, I am doing the potty dance in the middle of my kitchen waiting for the water to come back on!
Finally, it is on but there is dirt in the lines, so I have muddy gunk in my sinks and tub, very little pressure and oh and the toilet chooses this moment to overflow. Yep, today is one great big adventure but I am going to try my best to no grienve and remember the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Lord, I don’t know where to begin today, but I do know you will get me through this adventure today! ~amen
