1 John 4:11-12
11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
I always laugh when God hits me with the same verses or ideas in more then one of my bible studies for the day. I want to look up and say, “Yes, God I hear You loud and clear!” Today seems to be one of those days.
I look at these verses and I am reminded that God doesn’t discriminate between sinners or saints when it comes to His love. We are instructed to love one another just as God loves us. Boy, isn’t it good that it is not the other way around. I mean isn’t it awesome that God doesn’t choose to love us only when we are doing what He wants us to do or when we make Him happy. No, He loves us all of the time.
So, guess what? Yep! I don’t care how angry someone has made you, you need to find love in your heart. That love will lead to forgiveness. That forgiveness will set you free and make you complete! I can guarantee that will make God happy!
Lord help me love like you love. ~amen
