Shine So Bright, They Need Son-glasses!

Today’s Scripture…

Romans 12:1-3

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Thoughts…

A full moon is beautiful. A harvest moon is even prettier in my opinion. That huge red ball in the sky showing off all the crevices on the moon. It is breath taking. However beautiful the moon is, it is nothing without the sun. When we look at the moon we are really seeing the sun’s reflection.

We are a lot like that moon. You can try to be the perfect little Christian and do everything right all the time. However, without the Son, we are nothing. We have to have the Son shine through us. It is really the Son’s light that is leading others to God. We hold no power of our own.

So today, your job is to decide just how much of the Son’s light are you going to let reflect off you. Personally, I am hoping the Son’s so bright they gotta wear shades!
