Don’t Fly Blind

Today’s Scripture…

Proverbs 3:5-8

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

Thoughts…

Contrary to common belief, bats are not blind. As a matter of fact, depending on the circumstance they actually prefer using their sight over echolocation. Generally, they rely on the echolocation when they hunt at night. Certain bats actually don’t rely on their sight alone and combine the two for accuracy, even during the daytime (livescience.com).

God told us not to rely on our own eyes. You see, our perception of what is going on can be faulty. The only way for us to truly see our way through life is relying on God, using His guidance to navigate us through any situations. He already sees all the possible objects in our vicinity. He is just waiting for us to call out to Him. He will return to us the proper place for us to spread our wings and fly.
