Be a Superhero

Today’s Scripture…

Isaiah 1:16-18

16 Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. 17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. 18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Thoughts…

It is not enough to clean yourself up and sit in a pew to be a follower of Christ. The world will label you a Christian and yes your salvation is secure (thanks to the blood of Jesus and grace.) However, you have a job. You have aa purpose in life and setting on your hind quarters is not it!

We must open our mouths, defend the opressed, take up the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. What that means in your life I am not sure. You have to chat with God about that one. I just know He won’t answer carry a bible to sit on a pew every Sunday. Anyone can do that. It doesn’t make you a Christian. As Joyce Meyer once said, “I can sit in a garage, that doesn’t make me a car!’

So, go to church! Open you bible and study it. Pray! Pray! Pray! Then, follow what God tells you. Go out in the world and be the superhero He is calling you to be in his world!

Prayer…
