John 14:26-27
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Observation
Memories – Elvis
Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind
Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine
Quiet thought come floating down
And settle softly to the ground
Like golden autumn leaves around my feet
I touched them and they burst apart with sweet memories

Application
I am an endurance bike rider. Those are fancy words for I am the nut who rides 60-100 miles just for fun. When I train for new rides and come up to a new hill, longer distance, a higher cadence or faster speed, I encourage myself with things I have already accomplished. That sees me through the ride. The Holy Spirit was sent to do the same ting. He is there to remind you of all the things God has done already, to help you press throough the new challenges you come up to today and every tomorrow!
Prayer
Lord, thank you for sweet memories to get me through the dark days of my life. ~Amen
