Speechless?

Job 23:17
Yet I am not silenced by the darkness,
by the thick darkness that covers my face.

‘Cause I’ll breathe
When they try to suffocate me
Don’t you underestimate me
‘Cause I know that I won’t go speechless
All I know is I won’t go speechless
(Speechless from Aladdin, 2019)

Satan can bring on the storms. He can throw whatever weapon he wants at me. He can even surround me and try to drown me in darkness, BUT he cannot take my voice away. I will not go down speechless! I will not be silenced!

We all have a testimony and we need to share it. Don’t keep quiet. Spread the word what God has done. I know your past may be embarrassing or even very painful, but don’t let Satan silence you. Don’t go speechless.

Your words are the most powerful tool you have against all of Satan’s plans. Your words tear down walls and build others up. Your words can bring peace to a troubled heart. Your words can bring love to the
loveless, encouragement to the discouraged, and freedom to the enslaved. Don’t underestimate yourself. Don’t go speechless!

Lord give me strength! I will not go down speechless! ~amen

Need A Hug?

Psalms 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

Have you ever had a heavy heart? I mean the kind where you can’t even come up with one more tear because you have cried them all out. An ugly cry, where you gulp for air in between sobs. I hope you haven’t experienced anything like this, but I am betting you have or will at least once in your life. It might be over the death of a loved one, a bitter end to a relationship, or even the loss of everything. We all experience this feeling and you are not alone.

David was talking about this exact feeling when he wrote today’s verse in Psalms. Psalms 73:26, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” It was one of the many times David felt low and alone. Believe me, read Psalms and you will find the multitude of times he felt this way. However, David knew the secret to getting through. It is simple, keep going through. You don’t have to be OK. You don’t have to be all smiles and full of strength to carry on, you just have to go on. To do this, don’t rely on your strength because you have none. Fall back on God’s to carry you through. Rely on His heart when yours is crushed.

When you can’t take one more step, let God carry you. It is ok to not have all the answers or even want to have them. Just breathe.

God, thank you for being filling me with Your strength when mine fails. ~amen
