My Cup Runneth Over

2 Corinthians 9:10-11
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God

Did you ever hear the expression, “you can’t out give God”? Well I have to tell you it is true! I know the expression generally comes up in the conversation about money, but that is not all it applies to in life. There is so much more you can give than just money.

When you decide to give time to God, you will be amazed at how your day stretches out. Try giving a little forgiveness or grace to someone and see if you don’t find some for yourself. Seeking peace or love, yep give it out! You cannot out give God. He will just fill your cup up all over again. As a matter of fact, Psalms tell us He will fill it to overflowing (23:5).

The more you give, the more God will supply. The fruits of the Spirit come from a tree that never stops producing. Take what you need and pass it around. Share it everywhere you go. There is more than enough for everyone!

Lord, I am so glad you keep filling my cup. I will pour out your fruits to everyone I come in contact with today.

Farm Living is the Life for Me!

Matthew 9:37-38
37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

You may think getting saved is the end of your story. However, maybe you are asking yourself, “I am a Christian, now what?” Well, I am glad you asked! If you didn’t ask, I was going to tell you anyway. If you happen to be the person of the first sentence, well sit back and hang on because i am about to rock your world! Here is your news flash for the day, being saved isn’t the end! You have a job to do!

Yep! You read that right. We do not get to sit in a pew, sing a few hymns and say the Lord’s Prayer once a week. As Joyce Meyers says, “Just because you are sitting in the garage, doesn’t make you a car!” Just because you show up to church doesn’t make you a Christian! A Christian is a follower of Christ. Follower is a verb! It is an action verb! It means MOVE! Get out their and spread the word of God! The fields are ripe unto harvest but the workers where are they? Where are you? Some one took the time to plant and help harvest you! Now, it is your turn! Get to farming!

Lord, I don’t want be a pew sitter. Help me out in the harvest field. ~Amen
